About Us

Located in Board of Education District 1 and KCS Region 5, Beaumont Magnet Academy is a historic school that has served Knoxville students for more than 100 years. In 1993, the school became Knox County’s first magnet elementary school, and while its magnet focus has evolved over time, Beaumont is now known for its fine arts and honors programming. Situated just north of downtown, the school serves students from its zoned neighborhoods as well as those who transfer from across the district.

Beaumont Magnet Academy’s Fine Arts Program is at the heart of its mission. All students participate in instrumental music, theatre, visual art, physical education, and dance, while core academic classes are enriched through arts integration. Student work and performances are celebrated during semester Exhibit Nights, and students extend their learning through arts and museum expeditions.

Beaumont is dedicated to developing the whole child through creativity and critical thinking. By utilizing skills developed through the arts to enhance learning, the school ensures that all students achieve at least one year’s growth in reading and math while preparing them for lifelong success.
